• Student Lifetime Memberships: Cost $25.00 each (school discount available)

  Benefits include: registration of your rank, and a passport covered with a beautiful gold embossed simulated black leather cover. Passports are compatible with all styles, and they are an incredibly effective tool to record your students' attendance, testing, rank, titles, seminars attended, tournament results, and a myriad of other activities.

  
  
• Black Belt Lifetime Memberships: Cost $35.00 each (school discount available)
  Benefits include: all of the above, plus free training privileges at H.Q., seminars on authentic Korean weapons, forms, pressure points, joint locking, and a myriad of awesome self-defense techniques, video or on-site testing, and meaningful certification by a Government registered nonprofit association.
  
  
• School Charters: Cost $50 each -- includes one Black Belt Lifetime Membership
  Benefits include: all of the above plus school discounts on selected items. NKMAA does not knowingly accept direct applications from students of registered schools, and all students must clear it with their school owner/Instructor before visiting H.Q. We respect the traditional chain of command.

• Geup Certification: Cost $5 each (school discount available)

  NKMAA Geup Certificates are truly of extraordinary quality, and our award winning design is a big hit with students -- they simply love the Dragon and Tiger background. As an additional feature, NKMAA Geup certificates bear YOUR own school name; however, they are endorsed by a reputable organization.

• Dahn Certification: Cost $150.00 for First Dahn (school discount available)

  Add $100 for higher Dahns (ie 2nd Dahn = $250, 3rd Dahn = $350, 4th Dahn = $450) NKMAA Dahn Certificates are simply exquisite. The 16" x 20" certificates are just the right size for framing, and they are printed in full process color. The gold foil embossed dragon borders provide a beautiful contrast to the heavy parchment paper of the certificate. Nothing we have seen can compare to our NKMAA Black Belt certificates!

• Instructor Certification: Cost $100 (includes an intensive 3 day workshop)
  Black Belts wishing to obtain Instructor Certification must have the rank of at least Second Dahn, and hold valid First-Aid and CPR diplomas issued by a recognized organization such as Red Cross. Students of Timmerman's Martial Arts school must also possess a solid knowledge of the human anatomy with related terminology, understanding of modern fitness principles, and a Coaching Certificate (or equivalent).
  
  
• Master Certification: Cost $550 Fifth Dahn -- Add $100 for each higher Dahn
  (i.e. 6th Dahn = $650, 7th Dahn = $750, etc.)
  We accept and register Master ranks from all reputable associations at face value. The NKMAA Board of Examiners can also advance applicants in rank; however, we insist that applicants have sufficient time in the arts, possess solid knowledge of their art, and can demonstrate the skills normally expected from a Master of Korean martial arts.

  In addition to tournament consulting and set up, NKMAA provides ongoing workshops in judging, refereeing, and arbitrating skills. Five levels of expertise are available for applicants with sufficient knowledge, rank, and practical experience in sparring, forms, self-defense, and weapons techniques.

• Free Visitation and Training: Offered to registered school owners and Black Belts.
  During our normal school hours, NKMAA offers free training to its out-of-town school owners who support our association by registering their students with NKMAA. We believe that your support should be recognized and, in turn, we are glad to help you gain the additional knowledge to aid your growth and the growth of your school.
  
  
• Seminars in your school: Cost per person $35.00 plus expenses per day (4 hrs). Min. 15 students. School owners are encouraged to invite their friends or other interested martial artist regardless of style.
  
  
• Worshops at HQ: Due to the varied content and training time needed, fees may vary. Grandmaster Timmerman periodically hosts intensive weekend workshops for Black Belts and school owners. These workshops are intensive, and participants should not attend unless they are prepared to sweat.

Note:
We realize that our seminar rates are far below that of most of our competitors, and our free training is often scoffed at. However, our fees simply reflect the mission of our association, and they do not reflect the quality of our instruction. We simply are genuine in our desire to help you and your students.

We also understand that school owners need to recover their costs, and we expect them to add a surcharge. It is for this reason that we keep our fees down. Please don't abuse our generosity by charging exhorbitant fees to your students. We reserve the right to decline conducting seminars for school owners who abuse this system.

• Black Belt Rank Testing: Testing fees are included in the Certification fees.
  NKMAA offers on-site testing services by a qualified and highly regarded Examining Board. For economic reasons, we suggest on-site testing is scheduled alongside seminars or other special events. For those who wish to test at NKMAA headquarters, we simply require adequate advanced notice.
  
  In order to minimize traveling expenses, we also accept clear video footage as proof of your skills. A full set of requirements for your school must accompany your tapes. All material provided will be critiqued for content and quality, and applicants are advised of the results via registered mail.

• Training Manuals and Video Tapes: Coming Soon!
  NKMAA has been inundated with requests to provide our members with video tapes and/or textbooks. We hear your requests, and we are now working hard to satisfy your needs in this regard. Because we wish to adhere to the high standards you have become accustomed to, we ask for your patience.
  
  In the meantime, we currently offer video training of NKMAA seminars to registered school owners.
  
  Although we do understand the value of these tools, we do not encourage learning from books and video tapes without feedback of a reputable Instructor.

Trademarks

The NKMAA name and logos, as well as the name Kong Shin Bup™, are registered trademarks owned by the National Korean Martial Arts Association and/or Grand Master Rudy Timmerman. We do not authorize members to use these Service Marks unless permission is granted in writing. Membership does not include the rights to reproduce these marks and other copyrighted materials contained in this website or printed matter.

• Association Patches:

  Association patches are available to registered Black Belts and School owners only. You can wear your NKMAA patch with pride, they are not available to just anyone.

• T-Shirts:

  NKMAA T-Shirts are black, and printed in full color with our beautiful Dragon symbol.

• Black Belt Uniforms

  Black Belt Uniforms are available to registered Black Belt members only. The black middle weight uniform is also printed in full color with our name and Dragon symbol. We are unable to set the prices of these items because our costs vary; however, we will gladly quote you our price at the time of your call or order.

NKMAA grants Directorships based on skill, and your willingness to support our association. Legitimate Masters may earn the right to an NKMAA Directorship by recommending new members, hosting NKMAA workshops, and using our certification services.

Skillfull and legitimate Grand Masters, Masters and Senior Instructors of various Korean martial art styles are encouraged to inquire about becoming an NKMAA Director.

Proof on demand:
To avoid fraudulent claims, all Directors and Board members are provided with a letter of appointment signed by Grand Master Timmerman, and bear his personal stamp and our association seal.

Caution! Documents or passports entries of Master rank and above not bearing Grand Master Timmerman's signature, stamps, and association seal are not authentic. NKMAA, its Directors, and/or Board Members will gladly provide proof of their titles or special posts in our organization on demand. NKMAA is a government registered non profit corporation. The name Kong Shin Bup™, and the NKMAA logo are registered trademarks, and protected by law. Unauthorized use is prohibited, and we will vigorously defend our rights.
